Welcome PCH Staff members to the PCH Foundation Website
This is an area where PCH Staff can come to find out more about how they can help help our hospital. When you support PCH, we all win. New equipment benefits you and your family in the event of illness, and it could improve your job at PCH, as well.
How you can get involved:
Half for Staff: This 50/50 draw happens weekly. It costs you a loonie to play (sites at PCH include the Foundation office and outside of the cafeteria). Some weeks there is carryover. The pot has been know n to creep over $1000 several times a year. Since inception, Half for Staff has raised $ for new equipment at PCH
Volunteer: Many Hands Make Light Work
A very affordable way to support PCH! We have various events every year including Lights for Life, the Women’s Golf Classic, among others. And we can always use more help.
When an event is coming up we usually send out an e-mail and/or place posters throughout the hospital. If you’d like to become one of our “go to” people, just pop by the foundation office in the hospital lobby.
Payroll Giving: Many staff members choose to support this way. It’ easy and doesn’t hurt the pocket book as much all at once. Giving $5 per pay doesn’t sound so difficult and it really adds up over the year! ($5 x 26 pay periods = $130) Plus once a year we do a draw based on who is signed up for payroll giving. Past prizes have included an iPod, digital camera, and a home theatre system.
All payroll gifts are tax receiptable, another bonus for supporting PCH.
